ORACLE ACADEMY CURRICULUM

Oracle Academy offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide students and educators with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in various areas of computer science and information technology. Java Curriculum

Oracle Academy offers Java Fundamentals, Java Foundations and Java Programming curriculum, designed for secondary and post-secondary learners. Artificial Intelligence with Machine Learning in Java is suited for more advanced students who have gained fundamental knowledge of object-oriented concepts, data structures, recursion, and Java terminology and syntax.

Cloud Curriculum

Oracle Academy's cloud program teaches students to the fundamentals of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) computing, focussing on ideas and terminology. Learners get a grasp of cloud architecture, how it interacts with databases, and information on security, administration, monitoring, and management via skills and hands-on experience in OCI.

Database Curriculum

Oracle Academy's database curriculum introduces students to practical, hands-on learning in applied database systems, relational database concepts, data modelling concepts, and terminology, using Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle APEX Cloud-enabled practice environments, SQL (structured query language), and PL/SQL (the Oracle procedural extension language for SQL) to design and interact with relational databases and manipulate data.

Project Management Curriculum

Oracle Academy provides Oracle Primavera P6 Professional Project Management Fundamentals to educators that teach construction or civil engineering project management in higher education.
Oracle Academy offers this ready-to-use education and software for free to qualified construction management and civil engineering institutions and departments. The course includes tools for teaching students skills development and hands-on experience in planning, budgeting, resources, scheduling, program and risk management using Oracle Primavera P6, the project management gold standard.

Professional Certifications

Oracle Academy curriculum routes are aligned with Oracle Foundations Associate professional certifications, which give real evidence of Java programming and database knowledge and abilities for students seeking to differentiate themselves while looking for jobs.
Certifications validate particular technical knowledge and capabilities and demonstrate students' ability to continue to gain knowledge and skills as they progress through their educational and employment paths.

Java Certification

1. 1Z0-811: Java Foundations
   The Java Foundations Certified Foundations Associate exam does not assume any hands-on professional experience with Java. However, to be successful, you will need a basic understanding of Java programming language and concepts and have mathematical, logical, and analytical problem-solving skills. In addition, you must know how to write and execute a Java program and work with the Java Development kit (JDK) and the Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
2. 1Z0-808 – Oracle Java SE 8 Programmer I
   Both Java Foundations and Java Programming must be completed to build toward the knowledge required for the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer certification, but further study and practice is highly recommended for obtaining certification.

Database Certification

1. 1Z0-006: Oracle Database Foundations
   The Oracle Database Foundations Certified Foundations Associate exam does not assume any hands-on experience with Oracle Database products. However, to be successful, you need a basic understanding of the different types of database models and components. In addition, you need to know how tables are designed and the types of relationships between tables to manipulate data via SQL queries as well as familiarity with mapping of ERD model into relations.
2. 1Z0-071 Oracle Database SQL
   This Oracle Certified Associate certification is awarded only to candidates who pass the Oracle Database SQL | 1Z0-071 exam. This exam tests on topics that better align with the job role, and passing it results in an Oracle Certified Associate credential.

Cloud Certification

1. IZ0-1085 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure I and II
   OCI certification is valid for two years. Other certifications may be available to students with experience working in cloud. Visit education.oracle.com for the latest information.
